The Arizona State University Critical Languages Institute seeks to appoint a faculty associate to teach intensive Advanced Russian during the summer 2009 session of the Critical Languages Institute in Tempe, Arizona. 

Candidates must have a Master's degree in Russian language or a closely related field; possess native or near-native proficiency in both Russian and English; and demonstrate the ability to teach an intensive advanced course in the Russian language. Preferred candidates will be at least ABD, have experience teaching Russian to non-Russian speakers and will be able to lead cultural programming with a diverse group of CLI students. The successful candidate will teach Russian four hours daily for eight weeks and will be called upon to contribute to the institute cultural programming.

Deadline for completed applications: January 20, 2009.  Applications received by that date will have first priority.  If not filled applications will be reviewed weekly thereafter until the search is closed.
